The ideal candidate will have a strong background in residential carpentry techniques and be able to work independently and be a team leader. This role involves constructing, installing, and repairing structures and fixtures made from wood and other materials, ensuring high-quality workmanship and adherence to safety standards. Duties • Build and install frameworks, structures, and fixtures using wood, metal, or other materials. • Read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings to determine project specifications. • Construct roofs, including installing trusses and sheathing, ensuring proper alignment and structural integrity. • Manage a team of carpenters to ensure productivity standards and expectations. • Maintain tools and equipment in good working order while adhering to safety protocols. Skills • Proficient in building techniques with a strong understanding of carpentry principles (minimum 5 years residential framing experience) • Ability to read blueprints accurately for effective project execution. • Knowledge of basic residential building code and construction methods. • Valid driver's license with good driving record • Ability to motivate a team and delegate tasks as required.
